Wombat Hill Botanical Gardens

The Wombat Hill Gardens are excellent for kids to play, there is plenty of room, different areas to explore, a lookout tower, picnic tables, a rotunda and a cafe.

Daylesford Spa Country Railway

Every Sunday get aboard the heritage train for a ride to Musk and return, go through the bush, past farmland and through small towns.

Lake Daylesford

Lake Daylesford is a very picturesque setting for a walk or a relaxing sit down, enjoy watching the local ducks and their friends while you have a picnic or a stroll. You can go fishing or hire a boat and cruise around the lake. There are plenty of fun things to do for everyone. Dogs on leads are permitted.

Jubilee Lake

Jubilee Lake is set in the bush with nature all around, ideal for a picnic, hire a boat or canoe, there is a playground and large grassed areas, plenty of room for a game of cricket. Walk around the lake, find a mineral spring, say G’day to a resident peacock, go for a swim when it is warm enough. There are many family fun things to do. Dogs on leads are permitted.

Huge skate park and a new playground, so much fun for all ages on school holidays or anytime.

Mill Market

The Mill Market is huge and with anything and everything you could think of for sale, browse as long as you like and find a bargain or that perfect thing you have been looking for.

Daylesford Sunday Market

Every Sunday morning from 8am to mid afternoon at the Railway Station in Raglan Street is the Sunday Market that has fresh produce and all sorts of ‘Trash and Treasures’.

Walk the Streets and Browse the Shops

Enjoy walking the streets, browsing the shops and finding some lunch and an ice cream or other delights while on school holidays or anytime.

‘Sugar and Ice’ is a very cool place to have an Ice Cream and a fun thing to do in Daylesford

Horse Riding

Horse riding is very popular, there are three options in the area that may interest you – Turner’s Horse Farm, Boomerang Holiday Ranch, Hepburn Lagoon Trail Rides.

Bush Walking

Bushwalking can be done in many places in the area as there are huge forest reserves like the Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve near the ‘Hepburn Bathhouse and Spa’, at Central Springs Reserve, also near Jubilee Lake and Lake Daylesford there are walking trails.

Cricket Willow

Great fun for every cricket lover, learn about cricket willow and see cricket bats being made and maybe be even purchase your own. View the museum that has plenty of cricket history, play bocce and face the bowling machine in the cricket net.

Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm

Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm is at Shepherds Flat, it is a beautiful mix of historic bluestone buildings, lavender fields, gardens, orchards, groves, farm animals. There is a cafe or you can have a picnic, play boules, Lavandula products are sold. Several times a year they celebrate harvests and the Swiss-Italian heritage.
